the bath box - products review

Hello gorgeous!

Today I'm gonna be reviewing some body care products from "The Bath Box" I just purchased online:

·         Goats Don't Lie Avocola
          (organic goat milk liquid soap)
·         Baby Attack
          (body lotion) and
·         Breakfast Porridge
          ("rhassoul" clay powdered facial mask)

It's a common thing nowadays to have your own homemade products and sell it online. Thank's for the huge "power" of social media where you can promote your commodities anytime anywhere and most importantly: FREE.

You only need to develop your marketing sense and have the ability to "sell" them. Just like this homemade product with "The Bath Box" brand, they seem to be quite successful and has its own market and loyal customers already.

So "The Bath Box" is 100% Indonesian, 100% homemade and claimed itself to be using organic and natural ingredients with NO preservative added.

You can have a look at their website at http://www.thebathboxsoap.com and you will see this clean and "easy to understand" layout. Dominated by black and white, the website allows you to find and browse their products from "Body", "Face", "Shower", "Bath", "Lips" even "Hair".

I think they are specializing in soap since they have many types of soap (solid and liquid) but  only have one type for body lotion ("Baby Attack") and one what they call preservative free "solid lotion" – which I have no idea what that is and still am curious about giving it a try one day!

OK, shall we review one by one?

·         Goats Don't Lie - Avocola

It's a liquid soap made from organic goat milk with a peachy scent. It comes in 3 sizes:
250; 500 and 1000 ml.
I chose the 250 ml since it's my first time.

The texture is wishy washy, very much like water. It doesn't produce a lot of foam (and it's written on the label) so if you can't bathe or have shower without foam, well you can always use sponge or shower puff for more bubble.

Me personally, I like it just the way it is. It cleanses my body thoroughly without any stickiness or slippery feeling. It is said that it could be used for all ages, from washing your body to your face, so I tried using it as facial cleanser.

The result? It was good, it cleanses my face thoroughly without drying it and surprisingly, I LOVE THE SOFT SCENT because it's not going to be nauseating when you apply body lotion afterwards.

·         Baby Attack

This is (so far) the only body lotion variant "The Bath Box" has. So it does smell like baby soap – or baby powder – or long story short: this lotion will make you smell like a baby. Just like what it's written on the label, this is for you who want to have skin just like a baby.

Well, baby skin is baby skin and adult skin is adult skin. You definitely won't ever have your baby skin BACK (oh I'd rather forget my age now, LoL) but using this lotion WILL brings you different experience because it's lotion for ADULTS but it smells like BABY :D

You know, to have soft and tender skin (like baby) is SO HARD TO ACHIEVE (unless you are a baby and it takes a lot of work like body scrub, mask, peel etc. REGULARLY and we kinda have no time for all that, huh? LoL)

I've been using this for two days in a row, mornings and evenings and what's nice about this lotion is the soft-baby-ish scent lingers for hours. I can still detect its smell at 3 PM while I applied it at 6 AM.

Amazing, right?

·         Breakfast Porridge

The name sounds very yummy!
It's a facial mask... in a powder form so you kinda must mix it with water first. It's said to mix 1 tsp (tea spoon) of mask with 1-1,5 tsp of water but you know, my 1 tsp with your tsp standard is different, LoL so I stick with 1 tsp of powder mask then add water very little by very little until I get the paste I think is "correct".

Not too thick please, it won't made your face any clearer even if you use too much. So the thing is wash your face, apply the mask and wait for 8-10 minutes until it's HALF DRY then start scrubbing it GENTLY (I scrub for about 30 sec) then rinse with water and pat dry with clean face towel.

It smells like mint-milk-vanilla-oatmeal and to me it cleanse my face quite well. I've been using this 3 times every 2 days (well, depends on your skin condition, really.) My recommendation is when you have normal-combination skin, using this is perfect. "The Bath Box" has more variants for different skin, for example "Lemon Muesli" for acne-prone and oily skin.

Thank God my skin is getting more normal now than it used to be so I hope by using this (and also my skin care regiment everyday) will help to improve its condition into less-oilier.

Overall I think The Bath Box is doing a GREAT job for inventing such natural and affordable body and skin care. This is a must-have brand on my bathroom everyday, starting now until forever! :)

NOTE:
I would say, if you're interested in buying the products, buy it ONLINE from the web I've mentioned above. It has its re-sellers in several towns in Indonesia but I think the resellers don't have ready-stock products so you kinda have to wait (which is the same when I'm in Surabaya then I buy from re-seller in Surabaya, I've gotta wait for 3 days --> if I buy online I also wait for 3 working days).
